We'd rather lose the sale than have you overpay. Our 12-month single plan is $59.99 and includes three concurrent streams — cheaper than this plan and with one more stream. On stream count alone, it wins.
So why does this tier exist?
Multi-connection accounts are provisioned differently on our side, with allocation and support handling built around a shared household rather than one person using several devices. Some customers want that specifically. If your only requirement is 'two people can watch at once', the cheaper plan already covers it.
Bandwidth for two streams
Roughly 25 Mbps per 4K stream and 10 Mbps per HD stream. Two 4K streams want about 50 Mbps of headroom on top of everything else. Comfortable on a 100 Mbps line; on 50 Mbps run one in HD.
Test two streams first
A standard trial gives one stream and won't tell you whether your connection handles two. Ask for a two-stream trial and run both devices during a busy evening.
