Who genuinely needs four
Families of five or more with children on their own screens; shared houses with genuinely different schedules; multi-generation homes where news, sport and children's programming run at once; or a household of three at home plus someone who regularly streams while travelling.
Your broadband is the real question
Each stream arrives at full quality, so four 4K streams want roughly 100 Mbps of headroom on top of everything else. Below about 150 Mbps total, plan to run some streams in HD. Four devices scattered across a house on mixed Wi-Fi bands will struggle on a gigabit line — wire the main TV, keep the rest on 5GHz, and consider mesh across floors.
