Setting Up IPTV on Android TV
From installing the app to getting the smoothest picture.
Step-by-step setup
- Make sure the TV is connected to the internet and signed in to your Google account.
- Search for IPTV Smarters Pro (or TiviMate) and install it.
- Open the app and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Enter any name you like, then the username, password and server URL we send you — exactly as written.
- Tap Add User. Live TV, films, series and the guide load on their own.
Using TiviMate instead
Install TiviMate from Google Play, choose Add playlist → Xtream Codes, and enter the same server URL, username and password. TiviMate’s free version handles one playlist; its paid Premium unlocks recording and extra features. Either way, the credentials are identical.
If the app isn’t in Google Play
Install the Downloader app from Google Play, enable “Install unknown apps” for it in Settings, then enter the short code we send you. The player installs in about two minutes.
Common Android TV fixes
Buffering: use Ethernet (Shield and most boxes have a port; Chromecast needs an adapter) or the 5GHz Wi-Fi band.
Running low on storage: clear the app’s cache in Settings → Apps. Budget boxes with little memory benefit from a weekly restart.
Guide not showing: refresh the EPG inside the app’s settings after adding the account.
